After the glass panes have been installed, the Premium glazing’s blinds are attached with discreet fastenings to each individual glas element. The blinds slide with the glass panes, and they do not need to be moved out of the way separately when the passageway is opened.
Premium glazing has pleated blinds that can be opened from the top and the bottom. The pleated blinds come in two colour options: light grey and white.
A high-quality lock adds safety
Alutec Premium terrace glazing has a vertical lock that blends in seamlessly with the profile. Its embedded design does not block the sliding glass panes. The lock can be locked from inside.
It is also possible to install a keyhole on the outside of the glazing, which will allow a locked terrace to also be accessed from the outside.
For an openings that are not meant to be used as passageways, a simple lock with a pull knob can be installed instead of a vertical lock.
Glass an colour options for terrace glazing
Premium glazing uses toughened safety glass with a thickness of either 4 mm or 6 mm. When broken, toughened safety glass shatters into small, blunt-edged fragments that do not pose a serious risk of injury. Instead of clear glass, it is possible to use, for example, grey or brown glass that has been dyed in the mass for the glazing. This will provide some privacy and protection from sunlight while the blinds are open.
The standard colours of the glazing’s aluminium profiles are jet black, white aluminium, graphite grey and pure white. The profiles can also be painted in any desired shade. The glass panes will be attached the profiles with sealants. The sealants will be almost entirely inside the profile, which means that they are very discreet and do not widen the vertical framework. The sealant will be either dark or light grey depending on the colour of the profile.
